Bringing Comfort and Joy to the Central Florida Community: Mission Grove Staff Participates in Teddy Bear Drive Benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida

Mission Grove at Stoneybrook loves being part of the Central Florida community. Recently, our team partnered with Family Podiatry of Central Florida and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida to rally together and collect stuffed animals and teddy bears to donate to those in need. We collected around 20 teddy bears to share and bring smiles to the kids’ faces. Business professionals from all aspects of senior living joined us to make a difference. We even had a Stoneybrook Settler, one of the first residents to secure their spot in our community, join us and bring in a few teddy bears!

A Fun Event Benefitting Kids in the Community

That afternoon, Amanda visited the Winter Garden chapter of the Boys and Girls Club to deliver the bears and share the mission behind the initiative. The children not only received their new furry friends—they also got a glimpse into the caring community that surrounds them. She was able to speak with the children about Mission Grove and how we will become part of the Winter Garden Community. The children then did a self-affirmation about themselves before receiving a stuffed animal.

This event was more than just a donation; it was a moment of connection. It reminded us that small gestures can have a significant impact, and that when we come together, we can create something truly special. This reflects our core value of service; we are in the business of serving others. The residents in our communities expect and deserve the type of service delivered in 5-star restaurants and resorts.
